Individuality and Identity
Students engage in concept exploration and apply learned drawing techniques to design Lino portraits that express their individual identities. Through exploration and use of visual symbolism they translated personal identities into meaningful prints.
Bio Diversity Garden Installation
Large scale paper sculpture collage installation inspired by artist Clare Celeste. Exploring form, repetition and space through layered construction and collective group ideas, culminating in an interactive installation in the school biodiversity garden.
Decaying Nostalgia
Through ceramic form, students respond to the prompt that they have had to abandon their childhood toy. Wear, distortion and fragility visually represent loss, emotional changes and displacement.
Distorted Surreal Batiks
Students use magazines to collage and create distorted self portraits, using music as a stimulus to create a conceptual surreal atmosphere. Using pattern and visual contrast they translated these layered compositions into batik designs.
Group Ukraine Mural
3 Day workshop, guided with a second student teacher, exploring design, scale and painting. Sunflower design to promote support for Ukrainian students during the War.
